wellington writers walk
new zealand

When I was approached to consider the project, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me as to work typographically, where the typography had to be worthy of the writers’ words and ideas.

I felt that my response could expand the idea beyond the expectations of the committee.

I love Vincent O'Sullivan's quotation for this location, because behind the wall and out of sight is the sound of six lanes of traffic –

"Then it's Wellington we're coming to: it's time, she says, it's time surely for us to to change lanes, change tongues

they speak so differently down here."
