An
exhibition, artist’s book and short film completed the package
for Bruce Connew’s latest photographic project, I
Saw You, a series of 52 images on surveillance . . .
The
short film follows the same sequence of photographs as in the book
and exhibition but paced with feeling and emotion, in response to each
image, altering meaning as each moves in and out of the other. New
Zealand-based Chilean musician Alfredo Ibarra
composed the soundtrack to the visual poem that was sent across to him,
while in Chile at the time.
