PRESS ESCAPE TO CANCEL BY BRUCE CONNEW, AN EXHIBITION AND PHOTO ESSAY PUBLISHED IN SPORT, VUP 2000

Bruce Connew entered Kosova on June 19, 1999, seven days after Nato troops, and hitchhiked about for eight days photographing the beginning of the return of refugees. This work became an essay, Press Escape to Cancel, in a New Zealand literary journal, SPORT 24, and a touring exhibition that weaves the madness of immediate post-war Kosova with the clinical madness of a Kosova asylum.

Shown here are the cover and book spreads from Sport 24. Publisher, Fergus Barrowman had me design the cover for this particular issue.
